Chiquita was delighted to take timely possession of their new premises in parallel with staged migration of the personnel from different European locations.
Working closely with Chiquita and the Canton de Vaud, SPG Intercity conducted a survey of potential sites to enable Chiquita to create their new headquarters and maintain an opportunity for future growth. Two floors were retained at the A-One business center in Rolle. The top floor was reserved for Chiquita and the lower floor was subleased until further expansions prove necessary. Our in-depth knowledge of the local property market (prices, legal framework, current practices, etc.) enabled us to defend the interests of Chiquita in dealings with the property owner.
Chiquita signed a lease agreement capitalizing on SPG Intercity‘s expertise and the opportunity to create quality architecture fit outs and alterations to the building. Timely delivery was required to ensure that Chiquita occupied business premises in the Canton de Vaud by year-end. To do this, SPG Intercity prepared intermediary premises before moving Chiquita as scheduled to their final premises. The fit out of these premises was deliberately designed to promote the culture of Chiquita and ensure a functional and attractive working environment. For the fit out of the premises, SPG Intercity acted as Project Manager, helping Chiquita to structure, design and enter their new premises.
Today the team enjoys an attractive and highly motivating working environment. SPG Intercity continues to develop further premises for Chiquita in Switzerland.
